Best Buy Complaint

delivery sucked
The Best Buy Paramus (Garden State Center) appliance center distribution center sucked.
1. The scheduled delivery time for a Drier (appliance) was between 1230pm to 230pm.
2. We took hold day off from work to ensure that the delivery runs smoothly.
3. By 3pm nobody called so we followed up. The best buy customer service representative called the distributors and said they were running an hour late.
4. We double checked with the customer rep that they have the correct phone number.
5. By 530pm- nobody came or called.
6. We called best buy customer rep at 530pm to follow-up and was informed that the delivery people came around 345pm and said nobody picked up the phone and nobody was home.
Issues:
1. THERE WERE 4 ADULTS IN THE HOUSE AND NONE HEARD THE DOORBELL RING- we know the doorbell was working because we had the somebody ring the bell around 4pm.
2. The best buy customer representative stated that although they have updated the phone number in the order form, the people in the store where we ordered the appliance failed to update the phone number on the delivery form----- THAT'S REALLY NOT THE CUSTOMER'S PROBLEM.
*** EVEN IF THE DELIVERY PEOPLE DID NOT HAVE THE CORRECT PHONE NUMBER, SHOULDN'T THEY HAVE CALLED BEST BUY OR AT THE VERY LIST RING THE DOOR BELL!!!! KNOCK AT THE DOOR. They knew people were waiting for the delivery since we called to follow-up when they were running late.
