Best Buy lost my reward points and elite status.


About 9/3/2014 I was having trouble with my rewards points, and the account was no longer available to access I was told by customer care(less) The suggestion was that I open a new account and they would transfer my 5093 points and elite status to the new account. It is now 11/19/2014. In 2 1/2 months I have talked to 13 different CS people and my account and status is still in limbo today. They have 300 people at the call center so you can never get the same person who promised to call back with a resolution. I even have an email from Best Buy telling me I have 5093 points and suggestion ways to spend it.
One of their favorite ways to get rid of you is say they are transferring you to a supervisor and then you are put on an ever ringing phone line that is never answered.
Or wait 7 to 10 days but nothing ever happens in that time. and you call back in for the same song and dance. I am ashamed to say I fell for that line more than once (or twice).
Best Buy has lost it's appeal to me. They need some competition. Office Max is looking better in the areas they compete in.
