We purchased a $1500 tv & sound bar and were advised that we also needed an HDMI cable. It turned out that we did not need the cable due to being DISH customers. We live in excess of 50 miles from the nearest Best Buy -- in addition we are senior citizens, dealing with a disability situation. Consequently we do not get to the city much more than every four months or so. However, we made an effort to get back to Best Buy to return the cable. We were advised that we had missed the return period by just a few days and consequently they couldn't do anything except issue a "gift card". We tried to explain our situation in that we can not use the card - we don't purchase electronics or other gadgets that Best Buy would sell, etc... However they are not at all flexible in the return policy. No flexibility for extenuating circumstances. So they have our money and we have a useless card. In addition to this, the sound bar was missing a part and the owners manual. Best Buy insisted that we needed to return the item and get another - as previously stated, we cannot get to the city due to distance and health issues. They finally agreed to give us a small credit for the missing part and sent us a photocopy of the owner's manual... So all in all, we did not have a great Best Buy experience!
