Geek Squad

I have brought a TV and a multi purpose printer from Best Buy . I brought the Geek squad protection with the printer. I brought the service plan for a 2 year term. I purchased the Brother MFC 490 in October 2009. In July 2011 the printer would not print. I took it to the Geek squad in the Hancock building in Chicago. The geek squad could not fix the printer and offered me a refurbished printer. I told the rep my printer was rarely used. I did not want a printer that I did not know the history of. Geek squad called me back 2 weeks later again offered a refurb. I had just put ink in the printer and was told that I could not get reimbursed for that. I have to say I am not pleased with the service would not recommend it and and going to register a compliant with the better business burea and any other organization I can think of.

An update on the review written above. A store manager called me back later today and offered me a new printer and ink to replace the ink that was placed in the printer that was not returned to me. I consider the matter resolved to my satisfaction at this point.
