My husband and I have always been happy with the products and services we received as Best Buy customers. In fact, my husband is a Best Buy ElitePlus member and our daughter is an Elite member. On 7/28/16, we purchased an LG Front Load Washer/Dryer combo (WM3997HWA) from Best Buy for our daughter%u2019s small condo in Maine. We are limited to this item due to the small space in which it must reside. At the time of purchase, Best Buy was running a sale on the item with $500 off the original price. Incidentally, Home Depot was running the same sale, but we opted to go with Best Buy because of our past purchase experiences. Over the next three plus months, my daughter has received numerous calls where delivery of the item was rescheduled. We are patient people by nature and realize that unforeseen circumstances can and do occur. However, yesterday my daughter received a call from Best Buy (one day prior to yet another scheduled delivery) that the order was being canceled and our funds would be returned. Needless to say, she was quite upset, which caused me to start investigating. I first called LG thinking that perhaps that was a manufacturing or recall associated with the item. %u201CJennifer%u201D assured me that they had no such information regarding the item. I then tried calling the Best Buy store in Portland, but was kept in an endless %u201Chold%u201D loop. Therefore, I went online and contacted Best Buy customer service. %u201CRachel%u201D, who was very empathetic and professional, contacted someone regarding our order and was told that the item was %u201CSpecial Order%u201D and that our refund would be credited within three days. I asked why was this not known when we originally purchased the item in July and why did it take over three months to inform us that we would not receive the item. I am extremely frustrated with the fact that three months have been wasted; my daughter still doesn%u2019t have the washer/dryer; the funds could have been in our account rather than with Best Buy during this time; and we now have to try to find the item elsewhere and probably wait weeks or months for delivery. Worse, however, is the fact that I feel like we have not been told the truth surrounding the situation and our %u201Cgood faith%u201D relationship with Best Buy is now damaged.
