Horrible experiance - Smart Phone

Today me and my wife went to buy a smart phone for my wife at South Brunswick, NJ Best Buy store. The rep convinced us to take Verizon Edge. He said for 250 MB data and Samsung Galaxy S5 device, the cost would be $45 / month for a plan and $30 for a device. So totally it will be $75 + TAX. We agreed to buy this. After doing all credit check, he said, it will be $55 / month for a plan and $30 for a device.

When I questioned how will that be possible, he made us to wait for 45 mins and called Verizon. After speaking to Verizon he says, it will be $55 for first month and thereafter $45. When asked him, how is that possible, he didn't have answer and called one other rep. She says, that's Verizon who is telling and not Best Buy. I don't understand how can you just say like that when yourself suggested Verizon Edge and selling it in your store.

My worry was they do not have any document which says first month it will be $55 and later on $45.

I am anguish for the fact that they saying all this after running my wife credit check.
